I started back in September but had some shoulder issues so I stopped.  Doc sent me to Physical Therapy and now just this week I started back at the club and I was so scared that I might re-injure my shoulder.  Actually, the injury was bursitis and tendonitis which were also aggrevating my thoracic outlet syndrome.  (Gah, I am old!).  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, in PT today the therapist instructed me in the right way to lift some of the weights that we do in the circuit training class.  Let's hope that keeps the pain away.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also, I signed up to do a walk/run 1/2 marathon in June.  I think I am nuts.  Anyway, I need to start seriously training for that. He teaches the circuit training class that I take on Wednesdays. The assessment consisted of a strength test, a flexibility test, measuring blood pressure, weight, and a body fat analysis.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The body fat analysis uses a machine that sends electric currents through your body. You are supposed to be well-hydrated to make it work well. I drank plenty of water last night and today and I thought I was ready for the results. The standard BMI calculators have put my body fat at 26% which puts me "just" over the 20-25"healthy" range. However, this electronic body fat analysis put my body fat at 28.7% which is just 1.3% away from OBESE!! So, I need to work harder here, people!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On a positive note, my strength is good (one bench press away from "excellent" - had to stop because my arms went numb). Three snow days this week is a bit much.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also walked to and from Spy's house in deep snow so that was a bit of a work out then I shoveled the driveway and built up quite a sweat. Thoracic outlet syndrome is improving and my hands are going numb less often and my arms do not hurt as much. The swim team pool was available so I did a couple of laps and tread water while the kids jumped in off the diving stand. We had a power outage and the club was without most power for more than a week.  I worked out on 12/23 and 12/30.  And that's it!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Back to at least 2x/week and hopefully 3.  No doubt the club will be just packed for the next few weeks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I gained several pounds from Thanksgiving to Christmas.
